I recently had a conversation with a colleague about perception. We talked about how, sometimes, the way people see you can differ from how you want them to see you. And then, just this morning, this quote from Jeff Bezos popped up on my timeline, “Your brand is what people say about you when you are not in the room”. This hit home. We took it as a sign to dig deep and look back at the month to see if what we want our community to feel about us is how they feel.

One product that had the most spotlight this month is our virtual dollar card feature, which we launched a few weeks ago. So many of you have tried it and left your feedback, including Benjamin Dada. They did an in-depth review of our USD cards, and what makes it different from other options. This is what they had to say.

EUR & GBP Transfer Feature Launch

In my experience, when it comes to knowing what people think about you, you'll have to ask questions like these, "Do I provide what they need? Am I solving their problem?". That's why we launched a new feature that allows you to send EUR and GBP from the app. With currency fluctuations and the other challenges that come with global payments, we know how important it is for your money to get to where it should be on time. With this new feature, you can send EUR and GBP instantly and at the lowest fees possible.

Geegpay Diaries Episode 5

One way to show that you are who you say you are is to put as much work out there that there is no doubt. I learned this from David Anierobi when we chatted in episode 5 of Geegpay Diaries. David is one of the best web developers we’ve come across. He talked about the importance of evidence and how you can show your best work as a freelancer. He also shared a tip on how to ensure you’re seen the right way, and talked about what he wished he had known when he just started out as a freelancer.

We know everyone wanted a Starlink box in our anniversary giveaway. While we may not give out Starlinks every other day, I can assure you that we have a lot of goodies lined up for you. App Updates and Improvements‍

To attain the highest level of your trust --a level where you constantly brag about us, our product and engineering teams are constantly iterating and making the app better. Here are some of the updates made this month:

• We deployed a feature that gives you the option to receive your phone verification code directly through WhatsApp.
  

• We know security is a top priority. That's why we implemented the option to view your Geegpay virtual dollar card details with biometrics. 
  

• We also updated our app to allow you convert from your local currency to your global currencies without restrictions.
  

• We updated the list of special characters our system accepts so you can have more options when creating your password.
  

These are just a few examples of how we're making Geegpay the best it can be.
